Work I like: Guerrilla Girls
I like how they are using to communicate their message rather than just writing or speaking about it. They are sharing an important message about the inequality between men and women in the art industry. I like the use of big black bold letters so the message can come across  clearly. The way they stick to a basic colour palette and only occasionally use bright colours is very effective.
Work I didn’t like: The Tanks (Rebecca Horn): The piece itself is actually quite interesting but how it was displayed is what drew me away from it. The Tanks are an interesting place to view pieces of art however I didn’t like it that much, it was very hot and there were loud noises, which I assume were a part of an instillation but they were quite noisy and scared me a bit.
Work that challenges me: Ed Ruscha: His work with paintings of beautiful scenery with words that are a contrast to the background are very interesting. It challenges me as it makes me think about how people use art in different ways. It is  definitely different to other works I saw today and I keep thinking back to it.
Photo book that tells a story: ‘Paradise Street The Lost Art of Playing Outside:
The photobook shows photos of playing outside which doesn’t happen as much as it used to due to all the new technology available these days.
